does not ego taint knowledge
more so, does not ego stink...

while others are busily doing
sowing seeds of power, money and fame
a lowly apprentice as I
walking backwards undoing retracing steps
back to that fork in the road...
to the path not taken
following kindness, openess, humility
taking what is given
guarding against ambition

the doors of perception
so give substance and form
to experience
but what lies beyond perception
is there not a reality
apart and seperate from stimuli
is there not a direct knowing
pure and innocent
that defies the means of perception
is there not an absolute
that transcends, ye destroys
both means and structure
let us seek entry
thru the back-door
that we may catch the Primal
unaware
but such would be hard
if not impossible
unless, the perceiver is caught
in the act
somewhere between perceiving
and perception
lies the truth

I have know a Great Teacher
in my lifetime
and tho i learned much
from him
underlying it all, was his humor
that twinkle in his eye
resting on a foundation--
